The Awareness Center was conceived in 1995 with the notion of providing a safe and healing atmosphere for those who wish to practice alternative healing modalities. Over the years The Awareness Center has hosted many wonderful therapists who have either found a home here at the at the center or have found it an excellent springboard from which to launch their practice. We are proud to introduce a well-rounded variety of healing services including acupuncture, colon hydrotherapy, massage, and skin care. We hope to continue to provide the community with a caring environment with which to experience the best in holistic heath care..

Our Director

Steve Cimmarrusti is a licensed Holistic Health Practitioner who has worked with several chiropractors and massage teams throughout California. He received his Body Therapy training in Panchakarma from former staff therapists of Maharishi Ayur-Ved at Dr. Deepak Chopra's Center for Mind Body Medicine. There he served as a staff therapist for two years, until 1995.

He has been associated with the San Diego holistic health community both as a therapist and an instructor since 1989, and is currently in private practice as Director of The Awareness Center.
