Attention to detail is often the gateway into the depths and richness of our experiences. Yoga, more then being a series of physical poses, is a state of mind and heart; it is respect for the space and people around you. It is an attitude of humanity and service. It is a graceful presence and a generous spirit. Listen for it with your heart, feel it with your body, relish it with your spirit.

Yoga Tips

  • The Sanskrit word Namaste, said both in greeting and departing, offers love, service, compassion and respect. By bringing these qualities to your yoga practice, you are honoring the true spirit of yoga.
  • Arrive a few minutes early to class. Never enter or leave a class during meditation or savasana. If you must leave during class, please close the door gently. Let the instructor know before class begins that you are leaving early.
  • Alert the instructor to any injuries prior to class. This will help the instructor know how to adjust you or give you a modified pose if necessary. It's for your safety and the longevity of your practice.
  • Turn off all cell phones and pagers prior to class. This is for your sake as well as for those around you.
  • Purchase a yoga mat. Having a yoga mat serves you energetically and hygienically. We have some available for $20.
