Steve Cimmarrusti
Massage and Structural Therapies
Steve has developed a unique system of releasing the deeper muscles of the upper and low back by first accessing the insertion points of the larger muscular structure. This technique is initially utilized for most basic structural therapies with, uncanny success.. For more chronic conditions, modalities such as Neuomuscular Reeducation, Shiatsu, Passive Motion Work, Cross Fiber Friction, Muscle Stripping, and/or Parasympathetic Massage may be integrated for greater results.

Cheri Joseph
Acupuncture
Cheri Joseph, L.Ac. H.H.P., A.A., has been a member of the Holistic Health Care Community since 1986, when she began her massage therapy practice. Discovering a passion for this work and for improving the quality of people's lives, she became licensed as a Holistic Health Practitioner in 1990. As her interest in holistic health grew, Cheri studied Craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute. She then enrolled in the Master's of Traditional Oriental Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. She has been practicing Oriental Medicine since 1996, as a state and nationally licensed acupuncturist. Cheri is also a certified Birth Doula.
Cheri's interest and dedication to her career choice has inspired her continual growth and learning in the area of Oriental Medicine, Craniosacral therapy, nutrition and yoga, thus enhancing her skills and staying current with new ideas. She is currently in a yoga teacher training program, and moving more deeply into the study of raw living foods.
"As a healing therapist, my work is continually growing and changing. I realize that I can only heal to the level of my own healing. Understanding this, and that healing takes place on many levels, I work towards my own evolution with the desire to pass growth and knowledge to others."
Acupuncture has been practiced in China for 5,000 years, and has proven extremely effective as a primary healthcare modality. Included in Cheri's Acupuncture practice is Western and Chinese Herbology, Chinese cupping, Craniosacral and massage therapy.
Acupuncture uses sterile, disposable needles. These micro-thin needles are gently inserted into selected acupuncture points on the body. The health of the body and organ system in greatly optimized with the energy flows smoothly through these pathways. The World Health Organization recognizes Acupuncture as an effective medical treatment. A wide variety of health concerns are treated effectively with acupuncture, including all women's health concerns, infertiltiy, digestive complaints, weight gain, headache, fatigue, stress, insomnia and musculoskeletal pain.

Herbology provides a natural source of healing by using plants and minerals to a specific formula, creating strength and balance in the body.

Lisa da Silva
Colon Hydrotherapy
Lisa daSilva, B.S., H.H.P., C.C.H.T., has been practicing colon hydrotherapy since 1997. She also brings 20 years of personal experience in holistic healing modalities to her work. Her exploration of these began in her early 20''s, and she continues to participate in various cutting-edge seminars and therapies to this day. She has truly experienced the benefits of what she teaches her clients.
In addition to being a Nationally Board Certified Colon Hydrotherapist at the advanced level through I-ACT (the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy), she is a licensed Holistic Health Practitioner, certified in acupressure with a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, mind/body psychology, and various forms of energy healing therapies.
Prior to joining The Awareness Center, Lisa was on staff at the Optimum Health Institute of San Diego, an internationally renown healing and educational center, where she served as a Colon Therapist and lecturer on the principles of natural healing and detoxification.
Lisa views herself as an educator first and foremost, and is deeply committed to sharing her wide range of knowledge with clients to help them make profound and lasting changes in their level of health and well being! Of all the many modalities she has practiced, Lisa is the most passionate about Colon Therapy, believing it is the most fundamental way of promoting healing on all levels of one''s being, and she seeks to dispel the many myths and ignorance that surround this very simple therapy.
Many initially anticipate this therapy to be an embarrassing, uncomfortable experience. With her warmth, caring and skill (and sense of humor!), Lisa actually makes it quite pleasant! She welcomes "squeamish first timers" as well as the more experienced client.

Kate Brodsky
Skin Care
The Awareness Center is happy to present Kate Brodsky R.E., who brings over (20) twenty years experience in the skin care industry.
Kate, is a registered electroloysist, aesthetician, and permanent cosmetic technician. Her services include permanent hair removal, waxing, and permanent makeup of the eyebrows, eye line, and lip line.

Susan Rose Linder
Therapeutic Massage
Susan has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since November 2002. She brings a presence of relaxation and healing to each session by tapping into the bodies innate abiltiy to find balance. Susan specializes in Therapeutic Massage and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
Fascia is a continuous sheet of fibrous membrane located beneath the skin and around muscles and organs. Through working with the fascia and muscle origins and insertions, a deep release of tension and pain can occur during massage. Some of the training techniques she uses are:

Zen-Touch
Reiki
Each massage is then personalized to the individual need of the client.
Ear Candling, an ancient art used to open the higher spiritual center of the human senses, is also available. She uses two hollow beeswax candles per ear to gently remove the wax from the ear canal. The session can take up to ninety (90) minutes and is very relaxing.
Chair Massage is available for the workplace and parties.
